The rear, free ends of the original engine protection bars typically have no support against the frame, as is the case with the BMW R 1300 GS. This makes them the weak point of the protection bar. In a fall or impact, they may flex elastically as the forces and moments are not directly supported by the frame. This can lead to damage, for example, to the cylinders.

Our reinforcement bars, made of precision stainless steel tubing with a diameter of 25 millimeters, effectively support, reinforce, and enhance the original engine protection bar.

Smart connectors link the reinforcement bar and the free rear ends of the engine protection bar to the frame, allowing forces to be absorbed by the bar and distributed to the frame at appropriate points. This measure prevents the protection bar from yielding, adds stiffness to the entire tube structure, and provides elastic absorption of impact loads. The reinforcement bars also reduce the risk to the rider's lower legs, ankles, and feet.

The surfaces are glass bead blasted and electropolished, allowing the reinforcement to seamlessly integrate with the design of the original engine protection bar.
