Screen Reinforcement Set

When riding on bumpy roads or off-road, the original screen can bounce around and clatter loudly. Wunderlich has developed a solution for this to snugly and securely fasten your windscreen to prevent it from banging around, even on the roughest terrain. Loosen the Wunderlich reinforcement knob, adjust your screen to the desired position and tighten the reinforcement knob again. Now the windscreen is supported on both sides and the screen movement is kept to a minimum.

No restriction of the adjustment radius (the additional bracket moves in the same circular arc)

I replaced my old windscreen reinforcement made by some other company with Wunderlich reinforcement kit. What a difference! Amazing. My oversized screen no longer shakes. Windscreen stays exactly where I want it to be at high speeds. Very functional yet simple design. It’s the same old thing, you get what you pay for. Well worth the money.

Wow, what an improvement. This is the second GS where the under engineered factory control arms have failed. After repairing, I installed the Wunderlich reinforcement brackets, both left and right, and my windscreen is now solid. It’s especially evident on washboarded roads. No more annoying rattling. Also at high speeds I can visibly see the screen is solid and it seems like I may be getting less buffeting but that might be my imagination. The installation instructions, mostly pictures, are a little vague, but there’s a really good step by step how to video on YouTube. And there’s really only one way, the correct way, to complete the installation. It took me about an hour but I took my time between sips of coffee. This product isn’t cheap, but then again top quality never is. Buy the best once and be done with it. I highly recommend this product. You won’t regret it.

I think the set is much needed if you are doing a lot of highway mileage and you need the screen to stop flopping around in the wind. I picked up a Puig windshield for my GSA and I can tell you there is a massive difference when using the reinforcement set vs not having it. It really stabilizes the screen. Yeah, the instructions are not detailed, but the pictures make it easy. Yeah, you need this set. This and the 25mm bar risers made a huge impact on my daily ride.

This is a much-needed add-on for the 1250. I'm 6-3 and was getting a lot of buffetting from the OEM windscreen so I added a slightly taller screen from Vstream. This helped but seemed to flex and move anytime I was around large trucks. I decided to add these reinforcement braces and wow, what a difference they made. First off, these pieces (I got both sides and recommend you do the same) are really well built. They are shaped so they fit exactly into the folds and bends of the windscreen brackets and bike mounting points. Secondly, what a difference they make. Before adding the brace, I didn't often raise the windscreen because the higher I raised it, the more it bounced around. With the braces mounted, I can lock it into place at any height and the movement is minimal from the natural flexing of the material. In summary, I would suggest that anyone with more than the short sport style windscreen add these brackets to give yourself a much more comfortable air pocket to ride in.

Ordered the set and only received the right bracket, the left side is on backorder. Definitely recommend getting both right and left. I tightened up the right side and it stays solid, the left side definitely rattles. The screen needs that extra support!!!! Patiently waiting for the left side so I can get back to some fun!!!!!

I needed better windshield support on my 2017 R1200 GSA. I have a spoiler installed on top of the OEM shield and at speed, it moves around a lot and the windshield will actually start pushing back. So, I bought this kit (both left and right) for better stability. I'm very pleased as it is rock solid. Sure, the windshield isn't as easily moved up and down as it was before but it is still adjustable. I also like this kit because I was able to retain the Wunderlich powerlet adapter mount.
