BMW positions the S1000 XR as a cross between a sport, adventure and touring bike. The Wunderlich Marathon Windscreen delivers additional comfort. A great deal of thought went into the design of this screen and the shape was perfected through extensive testing. The result is a windscreen that offers outstanding wind and weather protection. The strategically placed opening allows just the right amount of air flow through the lower part of the screen to eliminate negative pressure and resulting turbulence. This windscreen is the result of extensive testing and it provides exceptional wind protection while retaining the sporty look of the XR. Intense road and complex wind tunnel testing have confirmed the outstanding effectiveness of both the sport and touring windscreens.

Sport Screen: The screen is dimensionally larger than the original, yet it perfectly matches the visual appearance of the XR. Effective at all speeds, but especially at higher speeds, the wind protection is inspiring and sporty long distance rides are enhanced.

Purchased the large marathon windscreen with side deflectors. I’m 5’9” with handle bar risers and a Corbin saddle (adds about 3” to stock ride height). Absolutely zero buffering when screen is in up position. Great purchase

Very impressed with the touring screen. It seems quite large, but ok once on the bike. Easy install. Very minimal buffeting if any at all. Blocks a lot of wind. I also installed the little side deflectors. Does the job for touring. I am so impressed, I might buy the sport screen just to get a little more air flow and see if the wind protection is still good enough for touring.
