    Description

    Reinforcement for BMW Engine Bars

Note: The surface of the reinforcement is the same as that of the original protection bar.

The original protection bar of the BMW F 850 GS Adventure does cover a large portion of the faring, however this had the disadvantage of making the sweeping, upper part of the bar function as a lever when forces are applied and exerted high forces on the attachment points. Our reinforcement struts support this weak point.

    Function

    • Reliable protection in the worst case scenario
    • Distributes the effective forces over an additional attachment point
    • Dissipates load spikes
    • Quick and easy to install thanks to the smart connector to the original crash bar
    • Perfect fit
    • Set for right and left side
    • Increases passive safety for machine and rider
    Technical info
    • Stainless steel, glass bead blasted and electro-polished
    • Pipe diameter 25 mm
    • Wunderlich premium product
    • Produced in small batches

Teaming up with BMW's official U.S. Rider Academy, home for the GS trophy qualifier, we’ve developed the toughest protection components for your GS. Our limited production run is now in stock, allowing you to elevate your GS to this new World Class standard!

Our journey with the BMW U.S. Rider Academy began with creating the Ultimate Engine Bars for their R1250 GS training fleet. Inspired by the rigorous demands of their off-road riding course at the BMW Performance Center in Greer, South Carolina, our engineering team at Wunderlich Germany developed these bars to endure the toughest conditions. The resounding success and proven durability of the Ultimate Engine Bars in combination with our Adventure Tank Bars led to a deeper partnership with the Academy.

Thanks to the effectiveness of our Ultimate Engine Bars, the BMW U.S. Riders Academy has expanded its trust in Wunderlich, now relying on us for a wide range of parts for various motorcycle models in their fleet.

They have incorporated numerous Wunderlich products to enhance the durability and performance of their bikes. From headlight guards and ABS sensor protection guards to radiator guards and skid plates, our parts are designed to offer the best in protection and functionality. We also provide various other components such as front axle sliders, engine front housing protectors, and side stand enlargers, ensuring every aspect of the bike is fortified.

Moreover, our collaboration extends to offering accessories that improve the riding experience, like fairing pouch sets and off-road sport windscreens. We also supply turn signal indicator guards, adventure tank bars, and hand guard enlargers, catering to the diverse needs of their motorcycles, including models like the R1250 GS, R1300 GS, F750 GS, and F850 GS.

This collaboration underscores our commitment to quality and innovation, ensuring that BMW riders have the best protection and enhancements for their motorcycles, whether tackling off-road challenges, navigating urban environments, or embarking on long-distance adventures. Our partnership with the BMW U.S. Rider Academy is a testament to the reliability and excellence of Wunderlich products, trusted by one of the most respected training centers in the world.

Certainly adds strength to the existing engine guard on my '22 850 GSA. Very easy installation. You will need an appropriate torque wrench for the installation.

    Nice product
    | March 5th, 2020
Easy to install...I would recommend to get a breaker bar to remove the stock bolts. You will need a torque wrench that goes up to 100nm. It definitely adds that extra layer of protection if you are planning any offroad trips. Quality finish that looks like it came with the bike.

Excellent addition to your crash bars
    | January 21st, 2020
I ordered both the upper tank protection and these reinforcement bars for my 2019 F850 GSA and am very satisfied with both. They fit perfectly, look great and provide a solid extra mounting point right an a area of the bars that would have maximum leverage on both the upper and lower protective bars in an unexpected slow speed dismount.
