This great socket is just what you're looking for if you need to make your electrical components work with the BMW style or Normal (cigarette lighter) style plugs. It can be converted from a standard cigar lighter plug to BMW style in a matter of seconds by pushing a button and sliding the adapter.
This socket has a 39 inch lead of wire off the end.

Works great -- cheaper than oem by far and I can use same plug in car because it converts back and forth!!
