Wunderlich R nineT Rider/Solo & Passenger Seats

My 2015 R9T has 26k miles on it, all with the original seat. I don’t have much natural padding to sit on, so I was looking for a little more comfort. The very pricey Wunderlish seat is very BMW-ish quality and fits well. I was a little disappointed it required adjustment. I thought it would just bolt on. But the adjustment ability was built into the seat hardware and it didn’t take long to position the seat where it needed to be. I’m 5’9”, 160 pounds with a 30” inseam. The Wunderlish seat raises seat height 3/4” and my knees like that. I can still also easily flat foot at a stop light. My back tells me that the extra height makes the handle bars feel lower. That I’ll have to get used to or raise the bars a bit. I’ve had Rizoma bars with 20mm (3/4”) risers on the bike for 20k miles with their bar end mirrors and I like that arrangement. And I also have Rizoma foot pegs. I hated the stock rubber pegs and did not want to lower the pegs and reduce ground clearance to get more leg room. I’ve only been on one 204 mile ride with the new seat so my experience at this point is limited. But comfort is definitely improved because of the shape and padding. I wish the center of the seat had a little depression or softer padding for my jewels but ride is better as the padding really helps compensate for the stiffness of the Ohlins fork cartridges and shock I installed 15k miles ago. Rough roads are easier on my butt now. Overall I’m pleased with the new seat. Time will tell if I need to adjust the handlebars. On appearance, I think the Wunderlish rider seat with the stock passenger seat looks good and works well with the Kappa tail bag I’ve been using the past 6 years. And it doesn’t give me any issues with my SW-MOTECH / Kriega soft luggage combination.
