Smart addition to our pillion racks: the rider's back support that transforms into a veritable pillion seat in no time at all.

This ergonomically functional, comfortable back support only needs to be folded back. To do this, it is positively supported on the pillion racks. An inconspicuous, solid mechanism locks the backrest in one of the two positions: upright, as a rider's backrest, or, folded back, as a pillion seat.

The mechanical components are made of stainless steel, the surfaces of which are carefully electro-polished. The quality of the backlash-free mechanics, the selected materials and their processing as well as the design fit perfectly into the layout and line of the BMW R 18. So we made sure that the cover and seam pattern of the upholstery are perfectly matched to the original bench.

The use of the Wunderlich pillion racks part # 11860100-102 is an absolute requirement for the assembly of the rider's backrest. It is screwed together with this at the front mounting point of the standard pillion seat.
