    Completely Satisfied

4 months and happy. My reasons for buying this is for bug and noise reduction. I have it set on my BMW R1250RS in the high position. The bugs hit at the top of the helmet, the face shield stays doesn't get the big splatters anymore. And, the noise is reduced. The shape of the shield also redirects water and stuff to the sides. My gas consumption is not affected. I fully recommend this shield.

Fit well, and performs as advertised.
Marathon Screen, height settings require consideration

I had a cross country trip starting in Ashville NC and ending on the west coast. Luckily, I will able to pick up a Marathon screen for my journey. Installed it in the Wunderlich parking lot. Installation is a bit tricky, but goes quick. With the R1250RS upper/lower screen adjustment and the upper and lower mounting screws, you have four possible screen locations. For most of my trip, I used the lower screen mounts and the upper pivot position on the bike. At speeds of 65-75mph, there is a lot of buffeting at helmet height (I am 6' tall). I noticed at at higher speeds of 85mph plus, the buffeting decreased markedly. I think this screen would be excellent at Autobahn speeds, but needs to be in the utmost position for lower speeds encountered on American highway use. I changed the position to the higher and will be testing that theory to see if buffeting is reduced at American highway speeds. 4 stars, for not having stainless hardware, and the collars are tricky to keep in place (hard to see when mounting the shaded screen). Easier to mount one screw at a time so the collars don't fall out. Minor gripe is that the black hatching where the screen mounts to the pivot mechanism is not the same shape, it seems this part is designed for the R1200 bike, but R1250RS is slightly off. Its just annoying when you look at it while riding. Be sure to use the thread lock provided, I had to adjust my mounting screws when I didn't.

Quality product much better than stock. Recommended for R1250RS.
    Improvement over stock.

The stock windscreen is bad. I took mine off and rode it in a semi naked style. After much research outside of the United States, I went with this one. While I was very worried about dropping near $300 on a $10 worth of Lexan. It is well worth it. Trust me Wunderlich did there job in the aerodynamics department. Like everyone says it is so much smoother and makes the ride enjoyable. Also drop the wind noise down to a much more appreciated level. I ride with it in the upper holes and lower position. Gives me good amount of tucked protection or nice breeze if I sit up not the Class 5 hurricane the factory one created. I am 6 Foot and 36 waistline. The windscreen has not negatively affected my MPG or top speed if anyone worried about Aero Drag.
    mind the height

Nice quality product but unfortunately at 5'10' with a 32 inseam, the airflow hits directly on top of my helmet and creates a very uncomfortable low frequency buffeting sound. This is with the screen lowered and in the lower mounting position as the stock screen is and present anywhere from 25-65+MPH. Actually quieter if I stand up on the pegs and fully expose the helmet. Lifting the screen helps some, but for my height and posture one would need to raise the screen and use the upper mounting holes to clear the wind. It's great tucked in behind it, but in my opinion raising it so high defeats the overall aesthetic of the "sports touring look.
    Yes, better than stock.

I rode with this in both the lower mounting holes and upper ones. In the lower ones it's simply better than stock. Similar airflow but totally smoother. In the upper holes the low position gives you airflow across your lower chin area but is still decently smooth. In the upper position there is vitally no pressure on you at all BUT, interestingly enough, there is increased airflow at your sleeves compared to either position in the lower holes. Great when it's hot but could be a problem when cold. I'm thinking I'll be keeping it in the upper mounting holes but may consider switching to lower holes if really hot. The windshield does vibrate a bit compared to stock but the airflow is again way nicer so I can put up with it. For size reference I'm 5'11" with a 30" inseam riding on the standard seat.
