Frame Plug Set

11-piece set Wunderlich frame covers for both sides of the R 1200/1250 GS. We close the rather unattractive holes in the frame of the R 1200/1250 GS with these covers made of a special hard rubber material. This means dirt can no longer collect here and the GS is visually upgraded in a sustainable way. GS Adventure owners, see notes below about additional plugs to complete the look.

PLEASE NOTE: For R1200/1250 GS Adventure models you will need four (4) additional plugs to complete the set. Two (2) Tank Plugs and two (2) Pannier Rack Plugs (found in Related Products below).Some BMW models have factory plugs that may be replaced with plugs from the kit.

These fill the void on the frame and pannier mounts(pannier and guard mounts extra for GSA). I had purchased some generic rubber ones but they were very hard rubber and didn't install without a lot of force. The Wunderlich plugs install with "just the right amount" of force to be confident they are secure but will be removable if necessary.

The frame holes on the BMWs are a bit unsightly. I bought the frame plugs for my R1250 R and liked them so much for “cleaning up” the frame appearance, that I bought them for my new R1250 GS as well. Will keep water and debris/dust from collecting.

Always thought the open frame tubes and exposed swing-arm pivots were cool but they had a certain "prototype" look that seemed unfinished on a BMW. Put the plugs in the proper places and now it looks like they've always been there. Easy fix for something the factory should have done. Bonus: I keep my plastic emergency key in the large tube under the right side, covered by the frame plug.
