If you are going for the carbon look, this part should not be overlooked. Unlike similar parts from other sources, this cover is a complete replacement of the original top panel and not merely a covering. It is exquisitely made of carbon fiber and weighs a mere 170 grams. A very complex mold was developed to produce this part. It is molded under pressure, which gives it extreme rigidity without bulk and it is sealed with several coats of resin for an ultimate finish.
