Top Case Rack Bag

This top case bag was designed to perfectly fit the shape and contours of the Wunderlich K1600 GT/GTL top case rack. Because of the irregular shape dictated by the passenger backrest pad, the rack is otherwise difficult to utilize fully. This bag solves this problem and adds practical additional storage to the K1600.

Four attachment straps provide secure attachment to the Wunderlich top case rack.
15 Liters storage capacity.
Quick attachment and detachment with Velcro type fasteners.
Adjustable shock cords on top for quickly securing additional items, gloves, etc.
Internally reinforced, so the bag holds its shape even when empty.
Blue interior provides visual contrast, making it easier to find small contents.
Ergonomic zipper pulls.
Water resistant, Teflon coated CORDURA fabric. Durable, abrasion and fade resistant.
Ergonomic harrying handle incorporated.

I just got tired of trying to make the best use of the trunk rack for storing items needed on our long 2-up trips. The rack's wrap-around style makes it difficult to accept any standard low-profile luggage. This rack bag however matches the rack shape perfectly and fastens easily and securely to the rack - and it looks great. It's very well made and being about 4 1/2 inches deep it easily handles extra items easily. It also has a net mesh on the top if needed. I know it's not cheap, but when you're on a 2 week or longer trip, you're constantly loading/unloading, packing/unpacking each day and the convenience of this bag makes this well worth the price.

This bag is custom designed and made specifically for the top box rack on the case 1600, and I would assume, the R 1200/1250 RT as well. The bag is constructed well, with a nice feature of having a blue interior which keeps things from getting lost in a sea of black nylon. The bag is quite expensive for what you get, in my opinion in fact, I do not have a K 1600, I used it on the OEM rack of my Honda Goldwing to her DCT with a slight accommodation on my part I will be taking my first trip with this bag in a few weeks, so we’ll see if it was worth what I paid for it.

I had originally bought this only because it fits my top case rack that's designed for this top case bag. After recieving my case and after looking at it...I immediately returned this bag. It wasn't due to product defect or damages due to shipping. This bag did not meet my needs. It wasn't deep enough to store bigger items (placing my rain suit takes up all the space) and doesn't make use of the available space allowing for more storage space. The other factor is it is not waterproof (defeats the purpose of an exterior bag) and there is no rain-fly provided. So, for those reasons I had opted for another brand and rack that makes more use of the top case surface area, more storage space, and waterproof. Ultimately, a good product, but not the best for it's intended use.

The bag is made perfectly to fit the rack and top case of the motorcycle. The blue interior is perfect to see the articles you have in the bag, even in the dark, the zipper is sturdy and the netting on the top is a good addition. It attaches easily, is light weight and has straps to carry along with you when leaving the motorcycle. My only negative and the reason for a 4 and not a 5, is that the bag is not water proof. I ride through many rainstorms and it will be necessary to wrap the bag in a plastic baggy or something waterproof to keep items inside dry. Other than that, a very good motorcycle traveling bag.

I was hesitant to purchase this bag because I felt it a bit pricey. However, I really wanted the exact fit this bag provides when mounted on the factory (Wunderlich) rack on my 2016 BMW K1600GTL Exclusive. The zipper is well sealed against water and the overall quality exceptional. Well worth the money.

It fits the Wunderlich rack because it was made for it...don't think it would fit a different rack as well. The connection to the rack is simple. The bag itself is pretty low profile..good news it doesn't affect handling...bad news..doesn't hold much and doesn't have any external pockets...just one compartment... the blue liner is nice and makes things more visible. Always check that the zipper is closed before leaving. Unlike some other bags this one will allow the vacuum created by riding with the zipper open to empty the contents of the bag in short order.

Well, it's overall shape makes placing everything one might want to carry difficult. However, it seems to please the passenger and I have signed off the use for her gloves, purse, camera and any other small light item she has to bring along as her exclusive space. It's long, narrow and not too tall. But it fits perfectly on the rack. The velcro adhesive strips appear to be especially strong and perfectly placed. I looped the shoulder strap under the elastic cords after shortening the adjustment so it does not take up space inside, since I do not see it getting much use and did not want to lose it.
