Header Protection, Dakar

After an off-road excursion, the highly sensitive header system was barely recognizable on our GS with all of dents and warping. The exposed pipes are in an extremely vulnerable and everything that gets kicked up can beat freely on the tubes.

In response to this, Wunderlich has invented sophisticated protection to help shield the header pipes. These round protectors are precisely matched to the radius of the exhaust manifold. It is made of an extremely resistant alloy that adds new shine to an otherwise brown tube. This part will also fit our sport exhaust headers.

The protectors though shaped for the radius of the tubing, are supplied straight. To install, attach one end to the header using the supplied stainless clamp, then bend the protector to match the header pipe and secure with the additionally supplied clamps.
