Adjustable Shift Lever

A clever all-round alternative to the oversensitive, impractical and optically plain original. The gear shift lever can now be optimally adapted to all shoe sizes and riding habits, and changing gears on the GS becomes child's play thanks to the roller-mounted shift lever.

And the gear shift lever is protected from bending in two ways. Even a harmless spill or a branch caught between lever and housing can bend the shifter shaft, inevitably leading to an expensive repair job. The precision cut serration of the clamp ensure a tight fit on the shaft, even in cases where the shaft tip is slightly worn.

Easy install and solid product

I ordered this after I dropped the bike in a rut off road that bent the original shift lever. I wanted something that would fold up out of the way and this was the ticket. Install was maybe 10 minutes, and another 5 minutes to get it adjusted to fit me. Nice product. I only wish there was a matching, fold up brake pedal for the other side.

Great product lousy instructions. No mention of 13 mm bolt behind sprocket which must be removed. It seems like most of these products require a fairly good machinic to figure out how to install with missing steps with instructions.

After I seriously bent the Touratech version in one stationary fall over, I looked for an adjustable lever that would be more durable and forgiving. This was it! I like the ball bearing roller tip, don’t think it’s a safety hazard at all as one reviewer commented. And the tip can be rotated to flip up at a variable angle, hence the perfect solution to my problem (45 degrees for me). Length adjustment of the lever not quite as long as Touratech, but sufficient for my big-tipped enduro boots. As one other commented, be careful with the nut behind the front sprocket cover that holds the big pivot bolt. On my F 850 GS it’s a 13 mm, (size discovered by trial and many errors) - after removing the giant original bolt, T60 or 3/8 th inch hex, you will need to hold the nut from behind with an open wrench while tightening the new supplied smaller bolt from the front. This took a mechanics dental type mirror, flashlight, and a lot of grunting to achieve. Put thread lock on before you start! Then a simple adjustment of the top splined shifter shaft (2-3 splines up) and you are done. Like the safety wire too.

Went on easy, feels good. Very solid construction. Excellent replacement. Two things to look for when you're installing: -The bolt/nut on the other side of the T60 factory bolt holding the shifter on stays there. Don't take it out/drop it. Its a real pain getting back into position. Not impossible, just a pain -Pay attention to the two little adjuster screws and their torque. Too much and the heads will round right off. Instructions give you the right torque specs. Wunderlich, it would be great to get some installation videos at some point. Heck, I'll film some for you to help customers :)

Beautifully made, easy install Doesn’t stick out as far as the stock lever. Ball bearing roller is a bad idea could be safety hazard if you became unbalanced and had too much of your weight on it. Good instructions. Quick shipping. Adjust your stock lever first before purchasing.
